On the first of February 2024, amidst the backdrop of Valentine’s month, the Alicia Hope Foundation team embarked on a heartfelt journey to extend their love and support to a beloved member of their community, Nakato, who, despite her physical challenges, radiates beauty and resilience.

Within the tranquil confines of Buwagi village, Nawantumbi parish, Nawanyango Sub County, Kamuli district, lies a community that has long grappled with the challenges of educational access and opportunity. However, amidst the adversity, a glimmer of hope shines brightly, thanks to the unwavering commitment of individuals like Hajjat Nisha, Rabiah, and Isah, who were not only born and raised in this village but also dedicated to uplifting its residents.
