Bulamu Gayaza

Within the heart of Gayaza A village, in Bulamu parish, Nangabo Sub County, Wakiso district, lies a community dear to Alicia’s heart—the place where she spent her formative years and imbibed the values of compassion and solidarity. Despite the challenges faced by many in this community, there exists a resilient spirit that transcends adversity and fosters a sense of unity among its residents. Recently, Alicia, driven by her deep-rooted connection to her childhood home, spearheaded an initiative to support the most vulnerable members of her community. With an estimated 118 disabled children under the age of ten, according to information provided by the regional chairperson, Bulamu is home to a significant number of individuals in need of specialized care and support. Recognizing the urgent need to uplift these young lives, Alicia and her team took decisive action, mobilizing resources and donations to make a tangible difference in the lives of these children.

In the town of Lugazi, nestled within the serene landscapes of Kawolo village in Buikwe district, a remarkable act of love and compassion unfolded on a special day dedicated to celebrating the bonds of affection. On the first of February 2024, amidst the backdrop of Valentine’s month, the Alicia Hope Foundation team embarked on a heartfelt journey to extend their love and support to a beloved member of their community, Nakato, who, despite her physical challenges, radiates beauty and resilience.
